Summer is done, but it’s still hot. Empire of the Sun.

Well officially summer is over – but it’s still freaking hot down here, and i am as busy as ever. So many great things happening right now w/ Zack Smith Photography – i just shot my first gig w/ the Civic Theatre w/ the Empire of the Sun show last week – wow. It felt good to get back to shooting live shows that have REAL light shows…makes the amateur look good and the old hack feel at home…

I will be shooting a ton of shows there – love the staff, love the production and the venue. Nice new home. For more EOTS shots go to my smugmug page –

About to start work w/ local musician Andrew Block on his new album artwork and concept. Just finished up the Zion Harmonizers album artwork and scored a great gig shooting live stuff and setting up a portrait area at the Ponderosa Stomp. The writing is on the wall, im not shoot portraits at Voodoo Festival this year – 2008-2012..it was fun, that book is closed…time to start writing a new one.

FYI – October 5th and 6th my portraits from Voodoo and my work from the Ogden Museum will be on display at the Dirty Coast Julia St – 329 Julia St.- as part of the  Creative Alliance New Orleans Art Home tour – i’ll be there Sunday, come say hi. I will also have my work up there for Art For Arts Sake as well – I will have limited edition prints and books for sale. CANO ART TOUR

Very exciting to hear new mixes from the upcoming Rotary Downs album, due March 2014, can’t wait to share here.
