Summer days means slower shoot schedules and more time to market, blog, and post some behind the scenes videos! I have spent some time putting together a series of “How I Got The Shot” and wanted to focus on a campaign I did for New Orleans and Company, the head marketing agency for the City of New Orleans. Wait…New Orleans has a marketing agency? Why yes they do! New Orleans continues to fight above it’s weight when competing for conventions, meetings, sporting events and more, and they need an agency to travel around physically and digitally to spread the good word: NEW ORLEANS IS OPEN TO HOST!
In doing so, countless individuals and businesses reap the rewards of contracting with these groups for hotel stays, convention booking, wedding proposals, big crazy birthday parties and more…sending well needed tax dollars to the city and state and money in the pockets of people who make New Orleans roll. I am gratefully one of those! In working with N.O.&CO to create this branding shoot, I got paid to be creative, pay assistants, pay musicians, fortune tellers, tip street musicians, and then pay my own bills and feel good about the product. It’s a beautiful cycle, and I think to complete my own cycle – I have to give it away to keep it! I want to share with you the many things that go into a shoot like this that takes months to plan, and days to shoot.
